OK, sorry for the slackness in posting on my blog, but I find myself in a catch 22. I can either do lots of interesting things, but then have little time to write about them, OR I can have lots of time to write things on my blog, but not do many interesting things. I find this is the same dilemma i faced during the work vs travel debate that I had inside my head when I was deciding to travel.
Anyway, on to the interesting things:
London was great meeting up again with the "Sloppy 2nd's" again. We had a few beers and a few kicks in Hyde Park where we were thrashed by some local team of hooligans. It was also cool meeting up with some of the old Perthites, Gomez, Pam and Aimee. It was weird seeing so many of the old gang in London, and I can't imagine what it's like back home without everyone.
Montreal was a blast. I find it one of the best places I've visited, and seems like a great place to live too. Everyone is really friendly. On the flight over from London, I ended up chatting away to the lady sitting next to me, and as it turns out, she just moved in with her boyfriend leaving an empty apartment which she said that I could use. So before I even landed in Canada, I've met very warm and friendly people.
St Laurent blvd and st denis street are two of the funkiest streets in the world. Joined with Mont Royal St, makes one very lively, interesting and chic areas that I spent many days strolling around. I didn't hit many of the bars (it feels weird drinking by yourself) but one day I'll come back and party in Montreal (there are lots of cute girls here).
Anyway, moving down to Boston where I met up with Carley. Once again I've been blessed with great weather and ended up covering most of Boston by foot. It's a very beautiful city and more universities than you could poke a stick at. It gives the whole city a very youthful campus feel.
Anyway, I've been staying down at Wood's hole the last few days checking out Carley's research lab and Cape Cod (not much to write about here). I'm heading back to Boston and then down to NY in a few hours. Gotta fly before I miss my bus.
Ciao
